Terms of service

Last updated September 27, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Work That Matterswebsite, including the build-ideas generator, the one-page brief, and the forms on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1What the site is

The site describes the Work That Mattersprogram and offers a few free tools for exploring what it could do for your business. Using the site doesn’t create a client relationship. Any program or other engagement is governed by a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

2The generator and the brief

The build-ideas generator uses an AI model to suggest projects from the answers you give it. Its output is a starting point for conversation, not professional advice:

  • Suggestions can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuited to your business. Check them before acting on them.
  • Similar answers can produce similar suggestions for other visitors, so the ideas aren't exclusive to you.
  • Don't enter confidential, personal, or regulated information. Answers are processed by our AI provider and stored as described in our privacy policy.

You’re free to use, share, and forward the ideas and briefs you receive, including inside your organisation.

3Using the site responsibly

You agree not to:

  • Submit anything unlawful, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share.
  • Use someone else's email address to request a brief or a session.
  • Automate requests, scrape the site, or try to get around its rate limits.
  • Try to access areas of the site that require a team sign-in, or interfere with its security or operation.

We may limit or block access for anyone who does, without notice.

4Our content

The site’s text, design, illustrations, and code belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for your own evaluation of the program, but not copy, republish, or reuse them commercially without our permission.

5Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect through the site and how we use it.

6Third-party services

The site relies on outside providers, such as our AI, email, and hosting services, and may link to other websites. We aren’t responsible for their content or availability.

7No warranties

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Figures and research cited on the site come from the sources named and are presented for context.

8Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything it generates. Because the site’s tools are free, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars.

9Changes

We may update the site or these terms at any time. When the terms change, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the changes.
